Tour itinerary

1) Downtown Seattle Pick-Up

Your 4.5 hours Seattle cider journey will begin when your guide, and designated driver, picks you up at your downtown hotel in our comfortable high-roof, extended length van.  As we make our way through downtown Seattle, your guide will share cider making history and give you an overview of how cider is made and why it's experiencing a renaissance in America now.

2) Tours & Tastings x 3

Before long, we'll arrive at the first cider maker where you will enjoy at least 3 different types of ciders straight from the tap.  As you sip each cider, the cider maker will talk you through what you're drinking and you'll learn how each cider is made.  After about 45 minutes to an hour, we will depart and heard toward the second cider maker, about 20 to 30 minutes' drive away.  At the second stop, you will enjoy another flight of 3 to 5 different types of cider and get a glimpse behind the scenes at the cider making process.

During this second stop, we will also provide a complimentary gourmet cheese platter, and assorted other snacks for the group to share.  After about 45 minutes to an hour, we will depart for our third and final cider stop.

Depending on the day of the week, our final stop will either be another local craft cider maker or an eclectic downtown cider bar where we'll sample a flight of international "old world" European ciders.

3) Back to Downtown Seattle

After 45 minutes to an hour of tasting at our last stop, your guide will drop you off at your downtown Seattle hotel or any point in downtown that you prefer.

“Amazing Experience in Seattle” “ My girlfriend and I booked TWO tours with Nature Nuts during our Labor Day weekend trip to Seattle and Michael was our guide for both, so we go to hang out with him quite a bit. Simply put, it was an outstanding experience. Our first tour was their cider tour. We are big cider fans and this was one of our motivations for visiting Seattle. It’s hard to believe, but apparently Nature Nuts is the only organized Cidery tour in Seattle. We visited three cideries - Brownrigg (our favorite), Locust (meh), and Seattle Cider (love them). It was great time. Thank you so much Michael! We will definitely hit you up again when we are back in Seattle! ” -Patrick & Millena, Chicago, IL

More Cider love

Do you want to get out of Seattle and see some incredible scenery while sipping down some cider goodness? We've got some suggestions below.  If you like what you see, please contact us about making it a custom tour!

How about a road trip across the snow capped Cascades to Eastern Washington and the apple capital of the world? We'll visit hard cider makers alongside apple and pear orchards.  If you come in the late summer or fall, there are countless U-Pick farms to choose from for the state's freshest produce.

For a longer excursion, we could explore the Columbia River Gorge, between Washington and Oregon.  On the foothills of glacier capped Mt. Hood, Oregon growers brew up cider goodness with their own home grown heirloom apple varieties.  On the way, we can hike along cliffs overlooking the Gorge and even take a dip in a hot spring.
