This tour includes a morning hike through Deception Pass, during which we’ll follow a trail along the shoreline, looking out for wildlife as we go. The hike also boasts stunning seaside views, dense old growth forests hugged up against cliffs plunging into the water below and mesmerizing tides that flow and churn like a river between the islands. After our hike, we’ll head into the charming seaside town of La Conner for lunch in one of the town’s many waterfront cafes. An optional alternative to lunch in La Conner is a gourmet catered beachside picnic at Deception Pass itself.

You’d best leave some room at lunch though. Afterward, we’re off to taste some of the wonderful local flavors in the Skagit Valley. You’ll get to visit a local artisanal cheese maker, pick organic blueberries (mid-July to mid-September) and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting flight from a local winery. If your group chooses, we can even visit Washington’s most famous shellfish farm where you’ll learn to shuck the freshest oysters within a shell’s throw of the ocean. If you’ve got an appetite for adventure and delicious food, this is the perfect tour for your group!

“Amazing Trip, Once in a Lifetime” “I was on a big family trip (14 people) this past August 2018. We had two days to spend in Seattle, one day before and one day after our cruise. Our tour guide was Michael, and both days were absolutely incredible!! Our first day, we went to Bow Hill Farm, which had beautiful sunflower fields and delicious blueberries for picking. Then, we went to a cheese farm and had even more amazing food. Michael then suggested a place called the Bread Farm, which was another great stop. Everyone had an amazing time, Michael was an outstanding tour guide, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. Some of our other stops included: La Conner and Deception Pass State Park. On our second tour with Michael, we explored the metropolitan area of Seattle. We got to see: the Space Needle, the Chihuly Glass Museum, Pike's Market Place, and Snoqualmie Falls. My entire family had an unforgettable experience that would not have been possible without Nature Nuts or Michael!! Thank you!” - Carol, New York, NY
